contemplative spirituality and communion with place

Home is, so does not come and go with particular feelings. Certainly, we feel more at-home at times than other times. Yes, certain places may remind us more of Home than other places. Being with certain persons, in contrast to others, awakens us more to the feeling of being-Home. As long as we are with this body, we may have times of feeling away from Home, and we cannot preclude the possibility of a longing for Home arising from readiness for release from the body. Likewise, it seems, based on my past experience, a loss of a sense of being-Home may arise as a sign of a need of movement from a place to another one. All this is possible, for Home is not a place to get to, but a Presence we have never, even for one moment, been away from.

And Home is most sensed near as an abiding Presence, when we have learned trustingly to relax within our daily lives. We discover a deeper intimacy than emotional intimacy. Then, we are no longer looking for Home as a different feeling or experience, but receiving it, now and here. Relax in receptivity, Grace, which is Home, will find you. Then, you will come to see Home is here, free of any feeling or any thought, any not being worthy or being worthy. No one can be unworthy of Home, or worthy of Home. Home does not play, so to speak, by our rules. Home is, always regardless. Home, in other words, is Love, and Love is Home. From this Home arises the invitation to receive Home, enjoy Home, so celebrate Life.
